Overview of position:. FEDITC is seeking a Senior CISCO Networking Engineer to work in the Halawa, HI area. The Senior CISCO Networking Engineer will provide operational knowledge and support of Department of Defense (DoD) networking architecture to assist in designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting of Command and Control Support System (C2S2) networks. This is an upcoming opportunity with a projected start date of July 2019. A United States Citizenship and an active Top Secret DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.. Responsibilities:. Operate as the networking Subject Matter Expert (SME) and will be expected to plan, implement, install, configure, operate, and optimize an extensive range of network technologies and monitoring tools across multiple enclaves.. Be extensively knowledgeable in the practice and execution of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) validations and DISA's STIG Viewer checklist.. Assume the project lead position, providing sound advice to government lead concerning network improvements and upgrades. Expertly plan, design, and execute projects with very little government oversight while providing crucial documentation to assist in maintaining continuity.. Develop, modify, or using an established template, configure and deploy network routers, switches, firewalls, Video Teleconferencing (VTC)-specialized equipment, and all related network devices on operational networks, with no downtime, unless previously scheduled. Use /modify the backup configuration from backup server as a template.. Coordinate all planning for required Authorized Scheduled Interruptions (ASI). An implementation plan shall be completed and submitted to government lead for review. Upon approval and completion of the ASI, the contractor will produce a narrative After Actions Report (AAR) depicting the installation, faults, troubleshooting, fixes, and lessons learned.. Execute the DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) validations and account for vulnerabilities via DISA's STIG Viewer checklist; providing validation to appropriate government personnel.. Perform cable management duties. These duties encompass the fabrication, patching, tracing, labeling, organizing, and troubleshooting new and existing networking infrastructure.. Work in conjunction with designated government personnel to configure/re-configure new and existing applications to capture necessary government data.. Notify government oversight upon notification of a form of failed network redundancy, to include testing of devices, and identify the potential cause, identify courses of action for mitigation or remediation, and assist in remedying the situation.. LAN/WAN Maintenance, Monitoring, and Troubleshooting: Provide maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network hardware, printers, servers, and software products and services within the Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) networks, to include, telephony, and Video Teleconference (VTC) environments.. Maintain network device and personnel security within the network environment, managing identity and access needs with the use of the current Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting applications.. Maintain and administer secure access of network devices to authorized personnel who retains appropriate rights.. Network devices shall be configured with a security posture authorized by government personnel.. Process and resolve assigned IT Service Requests and Trouble Tickets using the current ticketing system.. Create and maintain architectural and topographical diagrams featuring both high and low level detail to aid and assist in troubleshooting and continuity of the network.. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to assist in the initial setup of devices and also to help in the troubleshooting and reconfiguration of malfunctioning devices.. Maintain the lifecycle management of all devices, ensuring that government personnel are notified of all devices end of life, end of support, and end of service.. Provide the COR-appointed Technical Assistant (TA) with a Monthly Status Report (MSR) no later than the 5th of the month following the reporting period. At a minimum, the MSR shall include the following information:. 1. List of tasks & projects assigned. 2. List of tasks & projects completed. 3. List of tasks & projects not completed with percentage of how much is completed. 4. Assigned project's timelines & milestones. 5. After action report for projects completed in time period. 6. List of devices validated via STIGs for time period (by device name). 7. Location of completed STIG checklists. Other support duties as needed/directed. Experience/Skills:. At least 5 years of DoD network engineering experience or 8 years total of network engineering experience. Have significant experience using and maintaining servers and SolarWinds monitoring tool. Have significant experience using Microsoft Visio. Experience using Microsoft Office tools (word, excel, outlook, powerpoint, etc...). Must be able to carry 40 pounds due to installations. Education:. Bachelor's degree. Certifications:. Must have a current Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) certification. Must have a current Security+ CE certification. Clearance:. Active Top Secret Security Clearance is required.. Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check.. Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC'S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s)..
