Overview of position:. FEDITC is seeking a Senior Video Teleconferencing Network Engineer to work in the Halawa, HI area. The Senior VTC Network Engineer will plan, analyze, design, develop, test, configure, install, implement, integrate, and manage/maintain network systems use for transmission of information in voice, data, and/or video formats, while implementing DoD security procedures and tools. This is an upcoming opportunity with a projected start date of July 2019. A United States Citizenship and an active Top Secret DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.. Responsibilities:. Implement cyber security best practices.. Design and development refers to the configuration of existing systems, both hardware and software. This includes, but not limited to, network engineering for Cisco-based and VTC-based systems.. Monitor VTC and AV networked systems/equipment, VTC Best Practices, DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance regarding updated system firmware, software patches, and certificates as well as physical/IT security employment, and Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) handling processes.. Design, deploy, manage and sustain, HQ VTC systems, by ensuring conference room and desktop based systems are operational and ready for use per mission requirement. Contractor may be required to perform AV related duties to include troubleshooting and installation as required.. Ensure expedited VTC services are provided during restricted meetings, the contractor shall attend Alternative Compensatory Control Measures (ACCM) \"Read-In\" brief prior to providing technical support.. VTC Tier 1 Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Provide first-line (Tier 1) troubleshooting and maintenance for all hardware and software configurations of AV and VTC systems, AV infrastructures and components, and AV Control Systems (i.e. AMX, Crestron, Extron, etc.) by working in conjunction with internal and external organizations.. On a quarterly basis, provide recommendations for new VTC systems hardware and software and recommend improvements to existing VTC systems. In addition, provide solutions and complex trouble resolutions, and associated risks.. Using developed, modified or established template, configure and deploy network routers, switches, firewalls, Video Tele Conferencing (VTC)-specialized equipment, and all related network devices on the operational networks, with no downtime, unless previously scheduled.. Upon notification of a form of failed AV and VTC network redundancy, to include testing of devices, the contractor in conjunction with the government shall identify the potential cause, identify courses of action for mitigation or remediation, and assist in remedying the situation.. Develop a recommended lifecycle refresh plan of all AV and VTC equipment.. Maintain, install, update, to include patching, and operating system for all VTC systems.. Attend scheduled Configuration Control Board (CCB) and act as SME for J6421 and provide VTC expertise regarding requested projects.. Responsible for monitoring Ticketing System for all assigned AV and VTC \"fix it\" request, as well as, assigned projects.. Ensure AV and VTC systems meet Information Assurance (IA) and Security Office Federal, DoD, DFARS, local, and industry policies/standards for security and safety compliance.. Practice the appropriate DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) validation and account for vulnerabilities on VTC systems. Contractor shall take necessary action to mitigate or cease risks of identified vulnerabilities and ensure compliancy and proper operational use.. Analyze processes, assigned systems and applications and make recommendations for improvements and automation.. Design, plan and manage Continuity of Operations (COOP) Services supporting VTCs at the primary and backup locations to include assisting with the local and distant-end VTC organizations.. Provide emergent VTC Systems support upon notification of world contingencies, operations and/or exercises to support HQ mission.. Provide the COR-appointed Technical Assistant (TA) with a Monthly Status Report (MSR) no later than the 5th of the month following the reporting period. At a minimum, the MSR shall include the following information:. 1. A list of accomplishments during the reporting period. 2. Identify any task issues, problem areas and items that require Government action. 3. A list of known projected tasks 90 days in the future. Other support duties as needed/directed. Experience/Skills:. Must have at least 5 years of experience managing, maintaining, and operating Video Teleconferencing systems and networks. At least 3 years of experience with Electronic Key Management Program (EKMS) and cryptologic equipment to include KIV-7M and SG-250 families. Must have experience managing Cisco-based network architectures in a DoD environment. Education:. Bachelor's degree. Certifications:. Must be a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS). CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification required. Clearance:. Active Top Secret Security Clearance is required.. Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check..
